Timbits Mini Soccer Program
Timbits Mini Soccer is a wonderful introduction to the game of soccer for our kids. For many this program will be the first organized sport they have ever played. As a community we strive to make this first experience rewarding. All mini soccer games for ages 3 to 8 are played on fields in our community (Prairie Sunrise School, Waverley Heights, Kirkbridge Park, Bridgewater Park, and potentially others). Field times are twice a week in the early evening Monday through Thursday beginning in May, running 8 weeks, weather dependent, until the end of June. Your child could be playing on any of the fields located within the South Winnipeg Cachement area.
If teams are full and/or there is a lack of coaches, priority will be given to players residing within the South Winnipeg catchment area.
Online Registration
Soccer player registration now utilizes RAMP as it's registration tool. If you have utilized RAMP for registration for other sports you can utilize the same login.
Payments are submitted as part of the registration process. The online registration program accepts most major credit cards (sorry Interact is not accepted). If you are unable to register online please contact the registrar.

Coaching
Coaching is critical to both the development and enjoyment for our young soccer players. Being a soccer coach does NOT require soccer experience. Please consider becoming a coach. Volunteer coaches are required to be able to host teams. Coaches kids will be guaranteed a spot on the team they are coaching in the age category they are registered in.

U8 is now part of Youth Soccer in the Grassroots Program.
Age categories are determined by how old the child will be within the calendar year (i.e. a child born in Jan 2020 or Dec 2020 would be considered the same age).
Mini soccer season starts on May 1st (dependent on field conditions) and will run for approximately 8 weeks.

All games/practices are played from Monday to Thursday between 6pm and 7pm on fields within our catchement area.

2026 Outdoor Soccer Fees
The soccer fees collected fund coaches training, field maintenance, equipment use and maintenance, City of Winnipeg fees, and community center participation fee.
$115 ($95 + $20 MSA fee)
NOTE: Fees will be collected during the registration process. Unpaid fees may result in your child forfeiting their spot on a team.
Game Cancellations
Director will aim to confirm game cancellations between 4 and 5pm. Parents will be notified through email from either the director or team coach of Game Cancellations. Parents can also check the website for updates on whether or not games are cancelled. Games cancelled due to weather are not rescheduled or refunded. Mini soccer generally follows WYSA's league and will always cancel games when WYSA cancels.
